Recently, the CHERCHELL Bypass Expressway project, which was designed by the company and constructed by China Construction Algeria Company, was awarded as "2021 Typical Project of China-Africa Outbound Investment and Economic Cooperation" by Hunan Province of China and "2021 International Security Award" by the British Security Council. 

The 18.37km long project adopts French standard and specification design, two-way four lanes, the design speed of 110 km, the construction content includes 3 interchange, 15 Bridges (including 7 viaducts, 6 overpass Bridges, and 2 main Bridges), the total length of the bridge is 3.8 km, the highest pier up to 82 meters. The contract value is 18.9 billion dinars. Faced with the severe situation of a tight schedule and heavy tasks, the design team faced the pressure, overcame numerous difficulties, closely followed the time points, actively cooperated with the site needs, completed the design task with high quality, professionally and timely solved various technical problems in the later stage, and ensured the smooth performance of the project. 

Up to now, the project has created employment for more than 2,100 local Algerian workers. While promoting the rapid development of the regional economy in Algeria, it has also promoted mutual understanding and cultural integration between the Chinese and Algerian peoples. The project was completed and opened to traffic two months ahead of the contract period. The acceptance report without any reservations was signed, and the high standard, high efficiency, and high-quality performance of the contract were realized. At present, the Cherchell bypass Expressway has been fully opened to traffic and entered trial operation. After the project is officially put into operation, it will improve the road circulation system of TIPAZA Province, effectively relieve the local traffic pressure, greatly enhance the hard strength of tourism competition of TIPAZA Province, and provide an important military passage for the military.
