On October 19, the Prefabricated Composite Underground Pipe Gallery Technology, jointly developed by CSCEC AECOM Consultants Co., LTD, College of Mechanical Engineering Yangzhou University and Kunming Puretown Environmental TECH Incorporation Company, was accepted in the feasibility demonstration meeting held by the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of Yunnan Province.

It is a new type of integrated pipe gallery technology, prefabricating standard parts in factory and then assembling them at the construction site. With the steel structure as the main internal support system and SMC plastic molded panel as the envelope structure, the composite pipe gallery can satisfy the load-bearing requirements of the pipe gallery under roadway, and the main material involved can meet the service life requirements by regularly maintenance, featured with its convenient construction, in addition to economic, reasonable, and environmental.

The successful development of this technology will comprehensively promote the application of the integrated pipe gallery, and further expand the proportion of steel structure in construction projects.
