On 2nd November, the Xingfu forest belt project in Xi’an city commences construction. The Shaanxi province secretary Lou Qinjian, Shaanxi province governor Hu Heping, Xi’an city secretary Wei Minzhou, Xi’an city mayor Guan Jiqing, CSCEC head office general manager and deputy secretary Wang Xiangming, CSCEC Northwest region general manager Wang Jin, CSCEC AECOM deputy secretary and deputy general manager Li Zizhong, CSCEC AECOM deputy general manager Quan Xing, CSCEC Shaanxi branch director Peng Linhe, CSCEC Shaanxi branch deputy director Guo Yuan, CSCEC investigation branch Wei Yongxiao are present the ceremony.

Through the scientific organization and strict management, sparing no effort to deliver the sample project and excellent project, to make the Xingfu forest belt project the ecological gallery, happy gallery, friendship gallery, and to make a new name card for the Xi’an city silk roads economic belt.
Xingfu forest Belt situated at the military industrial area, west of Chan River and south of the LongHai Railway, is the extension of the east-west axis and the intersection of plates, whereabouts to the south of Qu River and connected with ChanBa in north is the core urban ecological zone. The Xingfu forest Belt project covers the area between the XingFu Rd. and WanShou Rd. starting from the HuaQing Rd. in north to the XinXingNan Rd. in south with the total length about 6.0 kilometer and average width of 200M. The planning area of project is 1134 Mu (113.4 hectares) and the investment is around CNY 20 billion, which is the largest municipal engineering and landscaping project invested by Xian City Government. The origin of Xingfu forest Belt could be traced back to 1953 that is designed by the former Soviet Union urbanist functioning as the protection and isolation tree belt between the industrial zone and residential area. For the past 60 years, the tree belt, experienced 3 editions of General City Planning Revision, is reserved as the longest, widest green corridor, and the important component of green space system of Xian old city. But till now, the project is yet to be established. To expedite the regional economic development and improve the environment of old industrial zone, taking the opportunity of 12th Five-Year Plan, the government of new city of Xian City edits the “General Plan of Comprehensive Renovation of XingFu Rd. Area of Xian City” with the breakthrough point of construction of the Xingfu forest Belt Project, which presents the new idea of regional renovation and development. The context of constructing the international mega city, the plan initiates the impetus of industrial transformation for eastern part of Xian City, explore the new modal of industrial zone renovation and improve the territory environment quality and image, which is the people’s livelihood project.
